Be My Witnesses
Jesus told His disciples they would receive power from the Holy Spirit and be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. A witness simply tells what they've seen and experienced - you don't need a theology degree, just a story of what God has done. It matters because the Spirit provides the power; your job is to be available and honest. In daily life, this means being ready to share how God has changed you and trusting that the Spirit will give you the right words at the right time.

Key Passages
Ye shall be witnesses unto me
Acts 1:8
Jesus defines the disciples' role as witnesses - not lawyers arguing a case but eyewitnesses testifying to what they have seen, empowered by the Spirit.
8ut ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Did You Know?
Witnesses do not argue or persuade. They simply tell what they have seen and heard. The early church turned the world upside down because they could not stop speaking about what they had seen.
The power for witness is the Holy Spirit. Jesus did not say "try harder to be bold." He said "you will receive power." The Spirit turns fearful disciples into bold witnesses.
We are witnesses to the resurrection. Not primarily to a moral code or a religious system. To a living Lord who was dead and is alive forevermore.
