Bible Navigator takes a minimal approach to cookies and data collection. We believe in respecting your privacy while still using basic analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it over time.

Cookies We Use

Bible Navigator itself sets no tracking cookies and no advertising cookies. We do use Google Analytics for basic usage statistics, which may set first-party cookies in your browser for measurement purposes. These are not used for cross-site tracking or advertising by us.

Essential Cookies

The web server may set minimal technical cookies required for basic HTTP functionality (such as session handling). These contain no personal information, are not used for tracking or analytics, and are strictly necessary for the site to function.

Bible Navigator uses browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your preferences locally on your device. This data is never transmitted to any server. It includes:

Third-Party Cookies

The following third-party services may set their own cookies or use similar technologies when their resources are loaded:

• Google Analytics (Google) - Sets first-party cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors and measure usage. These cookies are used only for aggregated analytics. We have disabled advertising and personalization features.
• unpkg.com (Cloudflare) - CDN for the Leaflet mapping library. May set performance cookies per Cloudflare's policies.
• OpenStreetMap tile servers - Map tiles on geography pages. May set cookies per OSM Foundation policies.

We have no control over third-party cookies. You can block analytics cookies using browser extensions, content blockers, or Google's own Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
