Facing Fear

Facing Fear

Fear can paralyze โ€” stealing sleep, clouding judgment, and shrinking your world to the size of your worry. Whether you face a specific threat or a nameless dread about the future, God meets you in that fear with His presence and power. He does not shame you for being afraid; instead, He repeatedly says 'Fear not, for I am with you.' These scriptures offer courage rooted not in your own strength but in the character of the God who goes before you into every unknown.

Fear Not, I Am With You

Isaiah 41:10

God's command not to fear is paired with His promise of presence, strength, and help - addressing fear not with denial but with divine companionship.

The Lord Is My Light

Psalms 27:1-3

David declares the Lord as his light and salvation, so fear of any enemy is unfounded. Trusting God dispels the terror of darkness and opposition.

2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

Be Strong and Courageous

Joshua 1:9

God's command to Joshua is accompanied by his promise of presence. Courage flows from knowing the Lord goes with us wherever we go.

Perfect Love Casts Out Fear

Though I Walk Through the Valley

Psalms 23:4

Even in the darkest valley, the Shepherd's rod and staff bring comfort. We do not walk alone; his protection is personal and near.

Y4ea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
