The Wicked Tenants
Jesus addressed this parable to the chief priests, depicting a vineyard owner who let out his property to tenants and journeyed afar. Time after time he dispatched servants to gather the produce, but the tenants beat, wounded, and killed them in succession. Finally sending his own son, they cast him out and slew him to seize the inheritance, illustrating how the leaders of Israel had spurned God's messengers and would reject His Son, leading to the kingdom being entrusted to others who would bring forth its fruit.
