Jesus in Gethsemane
In the Garden of Gethsemane on the night before His crucifixion, Jesus prayed in deep distress, sweating drops like blood as He faced the impending suffering of the cross while His disciples slept nearby. He asked the Father if the cup of wrath could pass from Him yet concluded by submitting fully to divine will with the words "not my will, but yours be done." This moment underscores Jesus' genuine humanity and emotional anguish ahead of redemption's cost. In Scripture it models obedient prayer during trials and affirms the necessity of alignment with God's purposes for salvation.
